If you have purchased one of our Roomba Services Please follow the appropriate checklist below;

Roomba Repair Service Customers:

  1. Roomba repair customers are required to ship in their entire system for evaluation. We will not evaluate an incomplete system. (MINIMUM: Roomba, Battery and Charger) Please do not send in MORE than the equivalent of one unit, Additional fees will apply for additional batteries, accessories, and accessories shipped with batteries inside, i.e, virtual walls.
  2. Write down the manufacturers serial number from the roomba, battery and accessories if applicable for your records and store in a safe place.
  3. Remember to remove, clean and reinstall the brush set, brush couplings, brush guard, filter, filter tray holder and side brush prior to sending them in.
  4. Remember to empty the dust bin and perform a routine maintenance cleaning of your roomba before shipping.
  5. Make certain to REMOVE THE BATTERY and safely package your roomba and disconnected battery with plenty of padding for round trip delivery. For 500 series models, please place a piece of cardboard under the battery between the battery and the battery contacts before replacing the bottom chassis skid plate.
  6. Check the box to be sure that it is sturdy and safe enough for a round trip, if the box is not acceptable for the return shipment back to you we will replace the box so please do not use a box that you intend to keep.
  7. DO NOT package your roomba and accessories using peanuts unless you first bag your roomba in a sealed container.
  8. Make sure to insure your package while en route to us, we will insure the return trip.
  9. Include a copy of your order number (Evaluation /Repair) inside the box and write the order number on the outside of the box.
  10. Double check our shipping address for accuracy.
  11. DO NOT ship a disassembled unit in without prior written approval from repairs@protechrobotics.com , additional charges may apply.(Customers MUST write DISASSEMBLED on the box to avoid additional costs due to lost/missing parts)

NOTE: Our service is to repair your roomba and restore it to within the manufacturers specifications, any fault that is repairable or replaceable that has failed is required to be replaced as part of our repair service. We will not partially repair a unit or "piecemeal" a repair, If our name goes on it then it is going to be repaired properly so that you receive a functional and reliable roomba after we are done. Please be aware that we are here to repair your roomba not clean it. We detail and clean the repaired areas and the internal chassis so that your roomba is ready to go when it arrives. We do not clean brushes, filters or dustbins, additional fees may apply if routine maintenance and cleaning of consumables is required, i.e., brush set, brush guard, filter, filter tray holder, side brush and dust bin.

IMPORTANT- Enclose a copy of your emailed receipt for the repair service inside the box and print your ProTech Robotics order number clearly on the outside of the box so that we know it is yours.

Scooba Repair Service Customers:

  1. Scooba repair customers are required to ship their entire system, Scooba, Scooba tank, Battery and Charger for evaluation. We will not evaluate an incomplete system. (MINIMUM: Scooba, Scooba tank, Battery and Charger) Please do not send in MORE than the equivalent of one unit, Additional fees will apply for additional batteries, accessories, and accessories shipped with batteries inside, i.e, virtual walls.
  2. Write down the manufacturers serial number from the Scooba, battery and accessories if applicable for your records and store them in a safe place.
  3. Remember to clean and empty your scooba tank the same as if you are storing it, we are not responsible for damage incurred by not properly cleaning scooba or water left in the tank.
  4. Make certain to REMOVE THE BATTERY and safely package your Scooba and disconnected battery with plenty of padding for round trip delivery.
  5. Check the box to be sure that it is sturdy and safe enough for a round trip, if the box is not acceptable for the return shipment back to you we will replace the box so please do not use a box that you intend to keep.

RooSPA, RooSPA-500 and Firmware update:

  1. Remove the battery, all accessories, filters, filter tray (if applicable), brushes and wire guard. All that you want to send in is the Bare roomba and Dust Bin. NOTE: Any additional parts or accessories shipped in for these services will not be cleaned or serviced.
  2. Write down the manufacturers serial number from the roomba
  3. Make certain to safely package your roomba with plenty of padding for round trip delivery.
  4. Double check our shipping address for accuracy.
  5. Make sure to insure your package while en route to us, we will insure the return trip.
  6. Include a copy of your order number (Evaluation /Repair) inside the box.

Roomba 500/600 Series Bumper Actuating Arm/Optical Sensor Repair Service

  1. Customers may ship in either the Bumper Actuating Arm/Optical Sensors as picture, Click Here or you can leave them attached to the 4 LED/PT cliff sensors and send in the complete harness for the Cliff and bumper optical sensors. DO NOT ship in the entire 500 series unit.
  2. Make certain to safely package with plenty of padding for round trip delivery
  3. Make sure to insure your package while en route to us, we will insure the return trip.
  4. Include a copy of your order number (Evaluation /Repair) inside the box.

IMPORTANT- Enclose a copy of your emailed receipt for the repair service inside the box and print your ProTech Robotics order number clearly on the outside of the box so that we know it is yours.

NOTICE - In the event that we receive the full 500 Series unit instead of the sensor pair as instructed above, the order will convert to an evaluation service and the customer will be responsible for all additional labor, parts and shipping costs if applicable.
