REPAIR SHOP INFORMATION
Hours - the shop is open M-F 9am-3pm EST except seasonal holidays and vacation schedules which are posted in our announcement section of each site page.
Communication - all communication with our technicians and staff for the evaluation services and repair services are done through your user account online. Log into your account at http://www.protechrobotics.com/clientlogin.php
Turn Around time - Once a unit arrives and is logged into the repair system you will recieve an email to update your status to "repair received".
Evaluations - are generally completed and uploaded for review in 14-21 business days from this status update*.
Repairs - are generally completed in 14-21 business days of final payment of the repair parts*.
*evaluation and repair times are estimated, if there is a delay our staff will notify you through your account.
Shipping times will vary and are not included in the estimated time frames.
REPAIR EVALUATION TERMS OF SERVICE
Parts - We only use 100% BRAND NEW parts and accessories for our repair service, all parts and accessories that are removed and replaced due to damage, defect or failure during the diagnostic evaluation become the property of ProTech Robotics™ for disposal and/or liquidation.
Trade-in eligability - Roomba/Scooba Repair and Exchange program customers who opt to take advantage of our trade-in program to receive a Brand New replacement relinquish/transfer all of their ownership rights to the trade in that is used as the basis for the trade-in credit. Your trade in credit will be dependant upon the overall condition and marketability of your trade in. We reserve the right to deny a trade in for any reason. Repair svcs/Exchange are Not valid with any promotions, coupons or gift certificates. Estimates and Repair parts costs are subject to change without notice. Subject to in stock availability.
Storage - Roomba/Scooba models that are left in our care, for 30 days after the diagnostic evaluation results are emailed to the customers registered email address will be charged a storage fee of $1.50 per day, in excess of 60 days the unit will be considered abandoned and will become the property of ProTech Robotics™ for disposal or liquidation at our discretion to satisfy the storage cost assessed.
Return Shipping - unless specifically stated by promotional offer, coupon or sales event the return shipping for repaired units and non-repaired units is the customers responsibility.
Warranty - 30/60 day limited warranty applies to repair customers who elect to send in their Scooba(30day) / Roomba(60day), battery, charger and accessories for testing and evaluation by our service technicians. This warranty covers the parts and accessories replaced against manufacturer defect.
Should any replacement part or accessories fail during the warranty period not attributed to negligence, tampering or misuse that is deemed contrary to iRobots recommended operating procedures, we will replace the failed component at no charge.
The customer is required to contact email@example.com during the warranty period to report the condition and to assist the service technicians in determining the cause and failure. If the unit requires further evaluation and repair the customer is responsible for packaging and shipping the roomba to us to be evaluated and repaired. If the part we installed failed due to manufacturer defect we will replace it free of charge, if after further evaluation the failure is due to an unrelated part or component that passed our initial evaluation or an environmental condition that was beyond the scope of our care, we will complete the repairs and bill the customer at the same discounted rate plus the costs of return shipping.
Partial Repair Requests - Our service is to repair your roomba and restore it to within the manufacturers specifications, any fault that is repairable or replaceable that has failed is required to be replaced as part of our repair service. We will not partially repair a unit or "piecemeal" a repair, If our name goes on it then it is going to be repaired properly so that you receive a functional and reliable roomba after we are done that we can warranty and stand behind.
Warranty Waivers - Against the recommendations of ProTech Robotics, their staff, management and technicians a service customer may elect to NOT have their repair order completed as advised or directed.
In the event that you wish to remove items from the required parts list we will no longer be able to warranty the work done and the repair service will convert to a simple parts installation service. You would be required to voluntarily waive any and all future warranty claim(s) before we can proceed.
Repair Svc. - Service level Exception/Agreement
NOTICE: Please be aware that we are here to repair your roomba not clean it. We detail and clean the repaired areas and the internal chassis so that your roomba is ready to go when it arrives. We do not clean brushes, filters or dustbins, additional fees may apply if routine maintenance and cleaning of consumables is required, i.e., brush set, brush guard, filter, filter tray holder, side brush and dust bin.
